AddOns, Inc., a reliable and comprehensive provider of managed IT services, hosting, and application support available to mining and public transportation asset intensive industries, announced today that it has hired Jorge A. Florez as its new Latin America Business Development Director.
As Latin America Business Development Director, Florez will be responsible for developing AddOns operations from Mexico, south to Argentina and Chile. AddOns will be focusing in the mid-size Mining and Transportation market in Mexico, Central and South America, providing complete hosted solutions for companies needing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems to run their business. Florez joined AddOns, Inc. with over 32 years’ experience in the EAM business.
“Jorge will be taking us to a market that is hungry for solutions that optimize the use of their equipment, increases availability and reliability, and extend the life of their assets. We have solutions based on our extensive experience in managed services and ABB’s Ellipse Select that are perfect for that market” said Linda Brown, AddOns’ CSO. “Jorge’s regional experience and knowledge of the industries we serve will drive growth in this new region for us. Florez has an extensive career in asset intensive industries; he started his professional career at Cerrejon mine in Colombia where he spent 13 years growing with the organization, his last three years he was part of the EAM implementation project and later was project manager for the replacement of the financial applications. In 1995 he joined Mincom as a project manager and rapidly became the Vice President of Services for Latin America. Jorge was responsible for pre-sales activities and all implementation projects in the region and became a huge contributor to the growth of Mincom in the region at that time. After seven years he went to work for Siemens in Colombia, and 2007 moved to Alpharetta, GA as Global Account Manager. After seven years he went back to Mincom, later known as Ventyx, and ultimately ABB – Enterprise Software, as Vice president of Sales for Latin America, Mining, Oil and Gas and Utilities. Jorge once again was instrumental in the growth of Ellipse in the region.

Florez is an alumnus of the School of Business at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, with a major in Business Management and Organization, he is also a Siemens Certified Project Manager.
